Every week, we invite a woman or a man from our Linnea Lund community to discuss their relationship with clothing, their wardrobe, and how they enjoy mixing our iconic cashmere pieces. This time, Alice Chéron, founder of the platform Ali di Firenze, dedicated to the "joie de vivre" of Italy, is the #MyLinneaLund personality of the week!
Alice Chéron has been delighted to hear her name pronounced with a singing Italian accent for the past twelve years: "Alitché!" Born in Normandy, raised in Nice, and having worked in Paris before impulsively moving to Italy, Alice eventually chose Tuscany as her final destination—the ultimate cradle of "Made in Italy". Here, the art of craftsmanship is revered, with families of weavers and painters passing down their skills from generation to generation.
It's a land of creativity, but also of guilty pleasures—especially culinary ones. Olive oil, Chianti wine, and pecorino cheese are among the delights that captured the heart of this Frenchwoman, as did the carbonara pasta of a handsome Florentine man who would become her husband and the father of their three children.
Nowadays, as you might understand, Alitché's life unfolds in Italy. It's a country that endlessly fascinates her, to the extent that she's made it her profession. For the past decade, she's been writing about Italian lifestyle. It all began with a simple blog, which has since grown into a media platform and an e-shop: Ali di Firenze. Here, with lightness and passion, she shares her French perspective on the "art of living Italian". Four years ago, after escaping a burdensome daily life with a solo trip to Venice, she created a fabulous concept: "Italian getaways". These are short trips organized by herself, inviting women to travel solo in an Italian setting, always following Alitché's "slow life" model—with a cheerful, colorful atmosphere and a generous plate of pasta "to warm the body and the heart". And that, we absolutely love!
Our destination for this week's getaway is Florence and its eternal cypress trees. There, Alice Chéron, dressed in our cobalt Charlotte sweater, welcomes us into her home to talk about her boundless love for Italy and its cuisine, revealing her insatiable appetite for colors—an endless source of inspiration for her.
Andiamo!
