The Ines de la Fressange x Linnea Lund Collection: Ines’ Letter

La lettre d'Ines

Ines de la Fressange x Linnea Lund: when Parisian elegance meets Scandinavian craftsmanship

What a joy to see our collaboration with Ines de la Fressange highlighted in her famous “La Lettre d'Ines”! When Ines herself takes up the pen to tell our story, it is of course a tremendous honor. But it’s also the perfect opportunity to share with you in more detail how this cashmere capsule was born, what lies behind these sweaters and this mini scarf, and why this collaboration is so close to our hearts.

A friendship born on Place Furstemberg

Paris, New York. Smiles exchanged at events, in the streets, in cafés. Conversations that always returned to Sweden, fashion, and beautiful knitwear. It was through this dance of repeated encounters, almost by chance, that the friendship between Ines de la Fressange and Charlotte, the founder of Linnea Lund, was born.

I was already a client of Linnea Lund, whose main boutique is located on the stunning Place Furstemberg, right across from one of my favorite museums: the Delacroix workshop. The shop is tiny, but big enough to discover dream sweaters, some of them in cashmere and silk that are absolutely sumptuous.

The unique concept of Linnea Lund

What makes Linnea Lund so special? No massive stock, no fixed collection. Charlotte imagined an almost artisanal approach to luxury. Each sweater can be ordered in more than ten color variations. In our boutiques, you can discover cashmere samples in our full color range. And on our website, you can also find these samples through our Color Palette to help you choose your next sweater!

[In boutique] you’ll mostly find wool samples and color ranges, because Charlotte, the brand’s founder and owner, works with Italian manufacturers and can therefore order exactly the sweater you want, in the color you choose. A dream, isn’t it?!

Swedish breakfasts: where it all truly began

On Thursday mornings, Charlotte hosts Swedish breakfasts on Place Furstemberg. The charm of this hidden square, the smell of coffee and kanelbullar (traditional Swedish cinnamon rolls): it was in this warm and authentic atmosphere that the friendship between the two women deepened.

"Since Charlotte and I had become friends, I allowed myself to tell her what kind of armholes and shapes I liked,” says Ines de la Fressange. “She then suggested a collaboration. Serendipity the spice of life!".

The birth of an exceptional capsule: Ines de la Fressange x Linnea Lund

Charlotte admits it: she secretly dreamed of creating a Linnea Lund piece designed for Ines and by Ines. She must have dreamed strongly enough for the idea to cross Place Furstemberg and resonate with her friend.

For months, Charlotte and Ines worked in the utmost secrecy. Their goal? To imagine a capsule that reflected their friendship: something soft, joyful, understated, and deeply authentic. No unnecessary frills—just the essentials. And a lot of complicity.

A cashmere collection designed for everyday life

The Ines de la Fressange x Linnea Lund collaboration is made up of three essential pieces, the ones you reach for without thinking, every single day:

  • Two cashmere sweaters available in several thicknesses and colors. Ines’ favorite? The Syrah shade: “My favorite sweater is the raspberry pink one, because I imagine wearing it in the evening with velvet pants and pretty earrings.”
  • A mini cashmere scarf, which both friends describe as “a true little gem that also keeps you warm.” You know, the kind of piece you never want to take off, from autumn through spring.

“We wanted easy-to-wear pieces, the kind you can put on every day and for every occasion. Elegant pieces without being intimidating,” explains Charlotte. In other words—pure Ines! That effortless elegance that defines her.

The philosophy: the luxury of less but better

This capsule perfectly embodies the vision shared by Ines de la Fressange and Linnea Lund. Ines says it herself in her letter: “True luxury is having little, but effective.”

At a time when our wardrobes are overflowing and fast fashion bombards us with new products every week, this collaboration champions a radically different approach:

  • Quality over quantity: cashmere pieces that last through seasons and years
  • Italian craftsmanship: family-run workshops selected for their excellence, not their price
  • Personalization: because we are all different
  • Smart investment: better one sublime sweater you’ll wear a hundred times than ten average ones that end up at the back of the closet

Where to find the Ines de la Fressange x Linnea Lund collection

This limited edition is available:

“This limited edition, we hope it brings you as much joy as it did us. In any case, we can’t wait to see you living and smiling in these pieces!”

Why this collaboration is truly different

Beyond the pieces themselves, it’s the whole story that makes this collection so special:

Authenticity first: a real friendship between two passionate women who met by chance on Place Furstemberg. Not a marketing stunt.

Time taken: months of work, back-and-forths, discussions to create perfect pieces. The opposite of the rushed, two-week collaborations.

Shared values: effortless elegance, simplicity, durability, attention to detail. And above all, the idea that luxury is not about having more, it’s about having exactly what you need.
