My Linnea Lund: Maylis Arnould

My Linnea Lund: Maylis Arnould

Each week, we invite a woman or man from the Linnea Lund community to discuss their relationship with clothing, their wardrobe, and how they enjoy mixing our iconic cashmere pieces. This time, it's Maylis, the creator of Tranzat, "a creative house driven by its love for materials," who is the woman of the week for #MyLinneaLund!

If you happen to spot a feminine figure with wavy hair gracefully gliding on a skateboard through the streets of Paris, chances are it's Maylis Arnould, a young woman exuding an ultra-cool yet casually elegant look, who prefers rolling over carrying a handbag! Undoubtedly, her choice of clothing speaks volumes about her. Indeed, what she wears deeply reflects who she is: a lover of fine materials and an advocate for committed, responsible, and stylish fashion.

A woman of conviction and action, Maylis founded Tranzat a little over three years ago through a crowdfunding campaign. Her ambition: not collections, but nearly exclusive or limited-edition pieces, available only through pre-order, producing just what is necessary, no more, no less. This vision of measured fashion, where the act of buying is thoughtful rather than casual, naturally resonated with us at Linnea Lund, as we share this slow fashion mindset.

What we admire even more about Maylis Arnould is her commitment to offering timeless basics based on the art of upcycling—garments at Tranzat, primarily pleated shirts, jackets, and bombers, made from existing fabrics that were destined to be discarded or forgotten. Starting with existing resources to create beauty: can fashion be made more responsible?

Thus, we followed her on her skateboard through the streets of Paris to the doors of her apartment-studio where Tranzat thrives, when she's not dancing with ocean waves on a surfboard. On that day, she was wearing our sleeveless sweater Oscar - Off White, to tell us about her brand, her love for fine materials, and the Linnea Lund pieces she appreciates.
