Mathilde Lacombe is an entrepreneur at heart and a passionate beauty enthusiast. For her, it all began over ten years ago. First with her blog, La vie en Blonde, then a brief stint at ELLE magazine, before deciding to embrace the brilliant concept of Birchbox (now rebranded as Blissim). Mathilde Lacombe was already showcasing her talent as a discoverer of quality, sourced cosmetics with a mission in mind: making beauty accessible to everyone. For this driven entrepreneur, cosmetics are anything but superficial or trivial. On the contrary, they are confidence boosters. And she firmly believes that feeling good in your skin goes hand in hand with integrating skincare rituals into our daily lives. This new way of rethinking beauty is something this mother of three has successfully imposed with Aime, her nutricosmetics brand launched four years ago in partnership with a longtime friend.
Together, they have revolutionized the world of dietary supplements by offering an ultra-comprehensive range of skin and hair care products, based on probiotics, which have the gift of making us more beautiful from the inside out by taking care of our body. Treating the causes of skin problems rather than their effects, and even preventing them whenever possible, is the secret of Aime. This philosophy is infused into each of the brand's products. Ingenious, isn't it? And we love even more that the range is made in France, using simple ingredients to give our skin all its radiance!
And glamour, Mathilde Lacombe is also in her wardrobe. Her style is classic, as she herself says, but her wise and chic choices ensure elegance while being very comfortable in her clothes. An imperative for this active mom who rarely wonders, always chasing a train to Paris where her offices are located, then another to Reims where her family life unfolds. So it was when we jumped off the train that Mathilde invited us to meet her at one of her favorite Parisian addresses, the Château Voltaire hotel. That day, she chose to wear our Charlotte turtleneck sweater in Off-White, to talk to us about Aime, her love for cashmere, and the Linnea Lund pieces she loves so much.
How would you define your style?
It is classic but always with a touch of modernity. And the key for me is comfort.
What is your favorite color in the Linnea Lund palette?
Cream, navy, beige, and black.
In your eyes, what objects represent Sweden?
It's the Kanelbullar, that cinnamon bun that I love!
What is your favorite piece in your wardrobe/apartment?
It's my large black leather handbag in which I like to put everything, my computer, and my things. It serves me daily and follows me everywhere.
When I say cashmere, what do you think of?
I love the softness of this material and its very sensual side, and the fact of wearing cashmere close to the skin, which is warm without being too heavy.
