My Linnea Lund : Marie Quéru

My Linnea Lund : Marie Quéru

Every week, we invite a member of the Linnea Lund community to share their perspective on fashion. Together, we discuss their relationship with clothing, their wardrobe, and how they like to mix and match our iconic cashmere pieces. And of course, it's exciting and full of delicacy and love.

This time, it’s Marie Quéru, founder of L'arrangeuse and creator of Interior Ecology, who is the #MyLinneaLund woman of the week!

Creating a balance between oneself and one's environment, between oneself and the things one loves, between oneself and one's home. Refocusing on the essentials, on what we truly love, to return to responsible consumption where our pleasure can be immense, and our impact on the planet minimal. Tidying and decluttering to rediscover oneself. Thriving and being happy in simplicity, without making possession the main objective. Does this sound utopian?

Yet, this is Marie's philosophy, which she gently and passionately conveys through what she calls "Interior Ecology." An avant-garde concept of life where daily life is "lightened" of all superfluous elements, where we rid ourselves of excess, where spaces are uncluttered and therefore less constraining, less oppressive, and thus more livable!

This relationship with objects, this need to surround oneself only with the essentials, to consume less while still enjoying life, and to make durability desirable, Marie L'arrangeuse expresses it better than anyone in her book "Interior Ecology: Living Better with Less," published on October 6 after more than two years of reflection and writing.

At Linnea Lund, we were immediately charmed by L'arrangeuse's personality, her art of simplicity, and her love for essentialism (not to be confused with minimalism), which she shares with Charlotte, the founder of Linnea Lund. And for Marie, who loves to surround herself only with what is "beautiful, practical, and durable," our timeless basics in cashmere are ideal! It is only natural that this lover of light tones has adopted our Rose Poudre and Oatmeal.

Thus, in her Parisian apartment, with neutral tones, structured by lines and architecture that absorb all visual pollution, Marie L'arrangeuse welcomes us to talk about her vision of ecology, her wardrobe, and the Linnea Lund pieces she loves.

- How would you define your style?
It perfectly aligns with my philosophy: it is essentialist, with very few prints and items that are as timeless as possible and that match very easily.

- What is your favorite color in the Linnea Lund palette?
I really like light tones and neutral colors. At Linnea Lund, I particularly appreciate Oatmeal and Rose Poudre.

- What objects represent Sweden to you?
Either a candle, a throw, or, of course, a piece of light wood design furniture.

- What is your favorite piece in your wardrobe and/or apartment?
I love my entire apartment, from start to finish, but if I had to choose one piece, it would be my living room, which is also a kitchen but where you can't tell it's a kitchen because everything is hidden. This room respects one of the fundamental principles of interior ecology, which is to combat all forms of visual pollution by creating lines of sight that allow the eye to move freely without encountering obstacles.

- What clothing item from your wardrobe would you keep if you could only keep one?
The choice would be complicated because I practice the philosophy of interior ecology, which means keeping only your essentials... but if I really had to choose, I would keep a pantsuit, which has the advantage of being timeless. It can be worn in summer or winter, casually or more elegantly.

- If I say cashmere, what do you think of?
I think of softness, a noble material, and of course, Linnea Lund!
