My Linnea Lund : Roman Frankel

My Linnea Lund : Roman Frankel

Each week, we invite members of the Linnea Lund community who inspire us as much as we inspire them! We love meeting them, having conversations with them, and hearing their thoughts on their personal style and how they pair our iconic cashmere pieces. It's personal, it's straightforward, it's from the perspective of the LL community, with love and attention!

Our extraordinary guest this week for #MyLinneaLund is an architect and dear friend of Charlotte's, Roman Frankel.Roman opened his own architecture firm, called Akira Studio, in 2016 after spending a year in Tokyo at Sou Fujimoto's studio, where he drew inspiration from his own Japanese heritage! Since then, he has worked on creating interiors for homes, restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as designing displays for Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot. His design skills also extend to creating and designing packaging and bottles for Perrier-Jouët's Shape Blancs de Blancs and Shape Blason Rosé.

Since Roman and Charlotte met through one of Charlotte's closest friends, who also happens to be his girlfriend, she has seen in him one of Linnea Lund's core values: craftsmanship. Roman values quality, design, and craftsmanship in his work and creations. He has even designed his own collection of lamps! At Linnea Lund, we celebrate craftsmanship and believe that our expertise speaks volumes about who we are, allowing us to offer high-quality products while supporting farmers in Mongolia and artisans in Italy.

Roman's insights into his style and how he incorporates Linnea Lund into his daily wardrobe are fascinating.

How would you define your style?

I consider my style classic with a twist, as I embellish it with a few unique designer pieces, using high-quality materials, unconventional cuts, and impactful details.

What is your favorite color in the Linnea Lund palette?

Navy blue, but also pops of bright colors like your orange.

How do you wear Linnea Lund cashmere?

I particularly favor styles like the Charles and the Edward for their unique details:
- The shoulder seams on the Charles.
- The wide collar with dropped shoulders on the Edward.

I wear them with basic straight jeans and ankle boots or with fitted corduroy trousers.

What does Sweden represent for you?

I think of architecture and colors: Sweden = Those iconic red houses, of course!
