From fine knit to chunky knit
In cashmere and silk, gauge 16, the crew neck sweater is light and slightly satiny, ideal for the in-between season. In our Malmö knit, gauge 12, it is fine and close-fitting, easy to layer or to wear on spring evenings. In 2-ply Stockholm, gauge 7, it is the classic winter sweater, soft and warm. In 4-ply, gauge 5, the knit becomes thick and cocooning for the coldest days.
Straight, cropped or oversize
The straight cut is the most timeless: it can be tucked into trousers or worn loose. Cropped styles stop at the waist and pair well with high-waisted trousers or a skirt. Oversize cuts, with dropped shoulders or bishop sleeves, give a more relaxed look.
Choosing your color
Neutral shades (black, navy blue, grey, beige, off-white) go with everything and form the basis of a wardrobe. The black crew neck sweater remains the most popular: it works with jeans as well as tailored trousers. Brighter colors bring a touch of light to a sober outfit.
