Every week, we invite a member of the Linnea Lund community to share their perspective on fashion. Together, we discuss their relationship with clothing, their wardrobe, and how they like to pair our iconic cashmere pieces. And of course, it's exciting, delicate, and filled with love.
This time, Ondine Saglio, director of CSAO, is the woman of the week for #MyLinneaLund!
Ondine Saglio has cultivated her love for ethical decor and African craftsmanship for 27 years as the director of Compagnie du Sénégal et de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (CSAO), which showcases and markets treasures from across the Atlantic. Founded by her mother in 1995 and taken over with passion, CSAO features hand-painted plates, embroidered cushions adorned with love words, and fabrics like wax and Liberty prints. African culture permeates every aspect, reflecting the patience and craftsmanship involved in creating these wonders. CSAO aims to promote these treasures beyond Africa, with a deep respect for the African artisans they collaborate with.
Craftsmanship, expertise, warm materials, and ethical values unite Charlotte and Ondine, who have fallen for our cardigans and Mimmi Marinière. These timeless pieces from Linnea Lund align perfectly with Ondine's classic vintage style and her desire to dress sensibly by investing in pieces she can cherish for years.
We met Ondine Saglio at CSAO's Paris boutique on Rue Elzévir, amidst the vibrant embroideries she cherishes, to discuss her wardrobe and the Linnea Lund pieces she adores.
How would you define your style?
You could say it's "British classic vintage"! I love timeless clothing, beautiful materials, and quality. I avoid fast fashion for both ethical and taste reasons. I wear a lot of vintage clothing, jeans paired with nice sweaters and suit jackets.
What is your favorite color from the Linnea Lund palette?
I really love gray, beige (the "oatmeal" color is gorgeous!), mocha, navy, and green, which is my favorite color.
How do you wear Linnea Lund cashmere?
Every day, in every season!
At work with jeans, and in the evening with elegant trousers! In summer, I particularly appreciate the cardigan for cool evenings. I have them in several colors. I wear them a lot! And the marinière has become my new favorite piece!
In your opinion, what object represents Sweden?
I would say clogs!
I adore them and wear them in all colors during the summer.
And of course, the beautiful Swedish design, which my mother loved so much.
