This time, Ondine Saglio, director of the CSAO, is the #MyLinneaLund woman of the week !
Ondine Saglio has been cultivating her love for ethical decoration and African crafts for 27 years as director of the Compagnie du Sénégal et de l'Afrique de l'Ouest, which highlights and markets treasures from this side of the Atlantic Ocean. A family business founded by her mother in 1995, which she took over with passion, infusing her taste for hand-painted plates, embroidered cushions stamped with words of love, wax and liberty fabrics. African culture is everywhere and the hours of patience and know-how required to create all these marvels can be seen. The CSAO takes care to spread the word outside of Africa, with undisguised respect for the African craftsmen with whom the company works.
Craftsmanship, know-how, warm materials and ethical values unite Charlotte and Ondine who fell for our cardigans and our Mimmi Marinière. Timeless pieces from Linnea Lund, adapted to Ondine's vintage classic's and to her desire to dress sensibly by buying pieces she can keep for years.
We met Ondine Saglio who welcomed us in the CSAO's Parisian boutique, rue Elzevir, in the midst of the colorful embroidery she cherishes so much, to tell us about herself through her wardrobe and the Linnea Lund pieces she loves.
How would you define your style ?
You could say "British classic vintage" ! I love clothes that you can't get enough of, timeless clothes, beautiful materials and quality. I avoid fast fashion, both for ethical reasons and for taste. I wear a lot of vintage, jeans, which I mix with nice sweaters, and suit jackets.
What is your favorite color from the Linnea Lund palette ?
I really like gray, beige (the oatmeal color is gorgeous!), mocha, navy, and greens, my favorite color.
How do you wear Linnea Lund cashmere ?
Every day, and in all seasons !
At work with jeans, and in the evening with a nice pair of pants ! In the summer I really like the cardigan, for evenings when it gets cooler. I have it in several colors. I wear them a lot ! And the marinière happens to be my new favorite piece !
In your eyes, what object represent Sweden ?
I would say the clogs !
I love them and wear them during summer in all colors.
And of course the beautiful Swedish design, which my mother loved.
