To my mother, and to all the others — those who are, who will be, and who will always remain.
The transmission from mother to daughter is something deeply meaningful to me. No doubt because I was raised by a woman who placed it at the heart of everything. A woman I’ve always seen stand up — with courage and determination — for her beliefs, her desires, and her independence. A strength, a power, a fighting spirit that my mother passed on to me with great wisdom, never forcing it, always inspiring it.
Now that I’m the mother of a wonderful little girl, it’s my turn to carry that torch — to pass on to her the will to never give up (especially not on her dreams), to keep moving forward, to nurture relentless optimism, to find wonder in everything (especially in the little joys), and to keep that spark alive — the deep conviction that yes, anything is possible.
Becoming a mother to a daughter has transformed me and brought me a happiness I never imagined could be so immense. I think of all those who long for this joy, who are still waiting, who once touched it only to have it slip away.
That’s it for this May letter — more will follow, full of little confidences and joyful news shared in advance.
Warm regards,
