Charlotte's Letter

This month at Linnea Lund, we're celebrating the powerful bond between mothers and daughters — the love, the strength, and everything passed from one generation to the next. Our hand-painted wooden clogs, with their floral heart and lucky ladybug, remain a symbol of that heritage and hold a special place in my heart. As for new arrivals, we’re welcoming the Harald sweater: light, soft, and fluid, perfect for summer and endlessly versatile. And I’ve traded my beloved Honey for Aqua this season — a bright, sunlit blue that instantly lifts the mood and lights up any look.

To my mother, and to all the others — those who are, who will be, and who will always remain.

The transmission from mother to daughter is something deeply meaningful to me. No doubt because I was raised by a woman who placed it at the heart of everything. A woman I’ve always seen stand up — with courage and determination — for her beliefs, her desires, and her independence. A strength, a power, a fighting spirit that my mother passed on to me with great wisdom, never forcing it, always inspiring it.

Now that I’m the mother of a wonderful little girl, it’s my turn to carry that torch — to pass on to her the will to never give up (especially not on her dreams), to keep moving forward, to nurture relentless optimism, to find wonder in everything (especially in the little joys), and to keep that spark alive — the deep conviction that yes, anything is possible.

Becoming a mother to a daughter has transformed me and brought me a happiness I never imagined could be so immense. I think of all those who long for this joy, who are still waiting, who once touched it only to have it slip away.

My mother's clogs

I’ve always seen my mother in clogs — whatever the season, whatever the weather, no matter the time of day or night. And when they’re not on her feet, they’re somewhere nearby: by the front door, at the foot of her bed, in a corner of the kitchen... they’re never far.

It must be said that wooden clogs couldn’t be more “Swedish” as an accessory. So naturally, I couldn’t imagine Linnea Lund without reimagining the clogs of my childhood. And because this choice comes from a place of love, I wanted them adorned with a hand-painted floral heart design — and a little ladybug, that symbol of luck.

A gift from Sweden, just right for every Mamma!

Harald, my summer hit

Because it’s so light, so soft, so breathable — absolutely perfect for summer. With its loose, slightly masculine cut, yet perfectly tailored fit, it gives me freedom — freedom to move, to mix, to play with style. I love wearing it knotted over the shoulders, pairing it with a shirt, or even right on bare skin under a jacket for cooler evenings.

Aqua for me

This month, I’m cheating a little on my favorite shade,Honey. I’m giving my heart toAquainstead — because of its instant brightening effect. Like sunlight dancing on the water, this hue gives a glow to any outfit. And that, honestly, feels wonderful.

That’s it for this May letter — more will follow, full of little confidences and joyful news shared in advance.

Warm regards,
