Each week, we invite a member of the Linnea Lund community to share their perspective on fashion. Together, we talk about their relationship to clothes, their wardrobe and how they like to mix and match our iconic cashmere pieces. And, of course, it's exciting and full of delicacy and love.
This time, Jessica Troisfontaine, founder of the inspirational brand and media Septem, is the #MyLinneaLund woman!
The bubbly Jessica will remember this September 7th, 2017, a day in which she decides to close her last case as an attorney to open another exciting chapter in her life. And what a chapter it is! With Septem, Jessica is causing a small revolution in ready-to-wear... Her weapon? Irresistible suits in which women can only feel strong, powerful and confident. A kind of tailor-made and empowering armor that gives us that extra soul, that confidence in us to live our lives as we want and, why not, aim for the moon! And that's what we like at Septem, to slip into clothes that allow us to make great strides. And in almost five years, the brand has also taken off since Jessica now has collections of dresses, tops, bottoms and even sets to walk down the aisle in immaculate suits. In short, Septem has everything we need to make us feel beautiful and confident. A powerful spirit that Jessica conveys in her collections as well as in her inspirational podcast Septem Club.
And because she likes to be elegant without fuss but with a touch of fantasy, Jessica found her happiness at Linnea Lund. She can't get out of our Clara cardigan in a soft and generous yellow, which she had the good idea of pairing with our Maud, our 100% cashmere top, as soft as it is durable, without forgetting a pretty pair of earrings, long and golden, which have sentimental value.
By the way, it's with feelings, at snack time, around a pretty table set up on which an appetizing Kanelbullar, this Swedish bun perfumed with cinnamon, is waiting to be crunched, that Jessica receives us to tell us about herself through her wardrobe and the Linnea Lund pieces she loves.
- How would you define your style?
I aspire to elegance, simplicity with a twist, generosity and loyalty. An intertwining of consistency and exploration.
- What is your favorite color in the Linnea Lund palette?
Off-white, because I love the idea that you can dress up with light. I also really like the color Honey, which is very soft and sunny at the same time.
- How do you wear Linnea Lund cashmere?
I wear Linnea Lund cashmere as if it were a cocoon, and therefore against my skin, of course. And certainly not only in winter! I plan to wear the short-sleeved model on many summer evenings.
- What objects do you think represent Sweden?
When I think of Sweden, I am caught up in my passion for all things food related, and the first thing that comes to mind is Kanelbullar, those sweet cinnamon buns. I'm also thinking about clogs, which I've been obsessed with for several months now...
- What is your favorite room in your closet or apartment?
The pieces that are most dear to me are my jewelry. I attribute magical powers to them because they were all given to me by those I love the most. In my apartment, I am especially attached to the works of artists that my husband and I have started to collect, those of Tiffany Bouelle, Pauline Guerrier, Ugo Schildge, Tamaris Borrelly or Fabien Conti.
- Which item of clothing would you keep if you could only keep one?
It would be the Jimmy Choo shoes, completely extravagant with pearls and beauty that I wore at my wedding, because if I'm going to be naked, I might as well be well-shod!
- If I say cashmere, what do you think of?
I think of softness, delicacy and durability... and therefore transmission, from mother to daughter, for example. I have always seen my mother wearing cashmere and I hope one day to pass on this passion to my turn.
