A weekend guide to Cadaqués with Carole Bénazet

A weekend guide to Cadaqués with Carole Bénazet

A weekend guide to Cadaqués with Carole Bénazet

Cadaqués had to be somewhat whimsical for Salvador Dalí to decide to live there for 40 years; his house and studio now transformed into a museum to celebrate his work. And it's true that between sea, coves and natural park, this peninsula on the Catalan coast holds wonders.

Carole Bénazet, founder of the essential Département féminin in Toulouse and heartfelt ambassador of Linnea Lund, also owns Pepa, one of the most chic and bohemian shops in Cadaqués. We follow her through her favorite addresses...

Santa Rita gallery

First stop at Santa Rita gallery. I love the very colorful artistic work of Laia Armengold and the always sublime and mysterious photos of Valérie Prot. Perfect for bringing home a little piece of Cadaqués' spirit.

Have a coffee at Meliton, a typical Cadaqués bar

Then I walk along platja Gran to sit at Meliton, where Marcel Duchamp, figure of surrealism, used to come play chess. My favorite spot for a coffee and a lemon-mint granita (always without sugar!) And of course... for Vladimir's smile.

Strolling at the flea market

Another stop, another atmosphere: the flea market on the ramblas, always the last weekend. I discover gems there every time, like the lovely rattan sofa installed in front of Pepa.

Having ice cream at Joia on Cadaqués harbor

For those with a sweet tooth, there's Joia ice cream shop. I confess to being obsessed with their chocolate sorbet... But you can go there with your eyes closed, all the flavors are incredible!

Going to Dinner at Rei Me

And for dining with your feet in the water, I have an immense soft spot for Re Mei. Everything there is beautiful and delicious. Do try the artichoke rice.
