My Linnea Lund : Gilles Dreyfus
The Reunion and the Entrepreneurial Spirit
During this time, Gilles was also an entrepreneur. After ten years in the finance world, he ventured into a major project in 2015 called Jungle. A well-chosen name for an innovative concept: developing France's first industrial vertical farm. Before investing in this next-generation soil-less agriculture based on hydroponics, allowing pesticide-free production with significantly reduced water consumption compared to conventional farming, Gilles carefully studied this virtuous ecosystem by visiting established vertical farms worldwide. Today, Jungle is a success, producing thousands of flowers for perfumes and cosmetics, as well as aromatic plants for a wide audience.
A Mentor's Role at Linnea Lund
But Gilles Dreyfus doesn't stop there. His temperament as a serial entrepreneur fuels his desire to help other project leaders. So, when Charlotte spoke to him about her conscientious cashmere brand, Linnea Lund, Gilles the bold saw an opportunity to offer his support and expertise in a field far from his original expertise.
For several years now, he has been alongside Charlotte, imparting his entrepreneurial vision and guiding the development of Linnea Lund. To her, Gilles is like a mentor who has gradually become a "big brother," helping her understand the realities of entrepreneurship, such as its inherent loneliness, the numerous ups and downs, and the importance of surrounding oneself with the right people to overcome challenges.
As you can understand, Gilles plays a key role in Charlotte's circle. Charlotte drew inspiration from Gilles' needs to design our eponymous hooded scarf, the Gilles collar. "Gilles travels a lot and always feels cold, so I thought of this scarf accessorized with a hood, a detail he loves."
So here's an encounter with Gilles Dreyfus in a somewhat special tête-à-tête with Charlotte. An opportunity for us to reveal a bit more about the backstage of Linnea Lund and the challenges of the entrepreneurial adventure.
