Each week, we invite a member of the Linnea Lund community to share their perspective on fashion. Together, we talk about their relationship to clothes, their wardrobe and how they like to mix and match our iconic cashmere pieces. And, of course, it's exciting and full of delicacy and love.
This time, it's Fred, founder of the Cut by Fred brand, who is the #MyLinneaLund man of the week!
The first thing you see about Fred is his beautiful, impeccably drawn curls that we all dream of stealing from him. Fred knows what he's doing when it comes to hair, since he's been doing it for over 20 years. He has a great career, an intimate salon in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and an aura of being the coolest and most caring hairdresser of his generation. Yes, Fred is all that and more...
For this lover of beautiful things, sensitive to wild landscapes and resident of Belle-Île, where he cultivates his vegetable garden without being afraid to "put his hands to the ground", it was essential to act at his level in the cosmetics industry by bringing a cleaner and more fun answer to our hair routines, all with vegan and natural products, with impeccable composition, and refillable for some, in pretty bottles that we take pleasure in displaying in the bathroom. Everything we love! So, inevitably, our heart goes boom, like Fred's as soon as he comes in contact with the sea, the waves that kiss the cliffs of his beautiful island in a crash. A windy and wild land, where the elements sometimes rage with passion, but where he feels so alive. Where he belongs.
Fred invites us to his home on Belle-Île, with Léo, his dog-child as he likes to call him, to tell us about his love for his island, his love for our Maya cashmere collars, and the other Linnea Lund pieces he loves.
How would you define your style?
My look is a vintage leather jacket - I don't buy a lot of clothes for myself - construction boots, basic jeans and a Linnea Lund cashmere sweater. That's kind of my 24/7 look, all year round, except for summer.
How do you wear Linnea Lund cashmere?
I have a fascination with the brand's cashmere collars. I just love them. I live on Belle Isle and it's pretty windy so I really need that protection around my neck and nose.
