My Linnea Lund: Ali di Firenze
Each week we invite a woman or a man from our Linnea Lund community to talk about their relationship to clothing, their wardrobe and how they like to mix and match our signature cashmere pieces. This time, Alice Chéron, founder of the Ali di Firenze platform, ( a platform about Italian "joie de vivre"), is the #MyLinneaLund woman of the week !
For the past twelve years, Alice has had the joy of hearing her first name with a singing Italian accent : "Alitché!" Indeed, being born in Normandy, growing up in Nice then working in Paris before packing to Italy on a whim, Alice finally decided to target Tuscany, the ultimate « made in Italy » cradle, where the art of transmission shows its importance within families of weavers and painters who strive to pass on their know-how from generation to generation.
A land of creation but also a land of guilty pleasures... specially culinary pleasures... Olive oil, chianti and pecorino are all delights that have melted the heart of the frenchwoman, as well as the carbo' pasta of a handsome florentine man who was to become her husband and the father of her three children.
From now on, as you may understand, Alitché's life is over there, in Italy. A country she is passionate about, without measure. So much that she even ended up making it her job, since she has been writing for ten years about the Italian way of living. It started as a simple blog, which has since become a media platform and an e-shop: Ali di Firenze, where she shares with lightness and passion her french perspective on "the Italian way of life". Then, four years ago, after a solo escape to Venice to get away from a heavy daily life, she created a fabulous concept: the "Italian escapades". Escapades organized by her, lasting a few days, to invite women to travel by themselves, in solitary, with an Italian decor. Always following Alitché’s « slow life » model, with a happy and colorful mood, accompanied by a generous pasta plate « to warm up body and heart ». And that, we love!
Our destination for this week's escapade is Florence and its eternal cypress trees. This is where Alice Chéron, wearing our Charlotte cobalt sweater, welcomes us at home to tell us about her infinite love for Italy and its gastronomy, and reveals her insatiable appetite for colors, which are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for her.
