This time, Mary Clerté is the #MyLinneaLund woman of the week !
True lover of vintage objects, stripes, flowers and bright colors, Mary sketches out an artistic universe that is both dreamlike and whimsical, which she projects in her drawings and films, and which are always imbued with a sweet strangeness. A “baroque” style where the border between reality and hallucination is tenuous, where the strangeness arises from a posture or a blood red, but where the light can spring from a radiant blue. A narrative and subtle color palette, some of which find resonance in the delicate tones of our Linnea Lund brand.
With our soft Parma pink or our pretty beige Oatmeal, Mary likes to combine prints, fluid silk fabrics and finds she brings back from her travels. A hyper-feminine style that she awakens with a touch of color and fantasy. Everything we love about Linnea Lund.
So we met Mary in her flowery studio in the 9th arrondissement, which is also her creative space, and which she has draped in stripes and furnished with vintage objects that are dear to her. It is there, among her collection of vinyl records and movie posters, that she welcomes us to tell her story through her wardrobe and the Linnea Lund pieces she loves.
How would you define your style?
Feminine ! I really like patterns, colors and vintage t-shirts that I bring from L.A. I also love vintage jackets.
What is your favorite color of the Linnea Lund palette?
I’m fond of the very soft color “lilas” that I wear in the photos as well as the English Green which happens to be one of my favorite colors.
How do you wear Linnea Lund cashmere?
I like to wear it either with a pair of jeans, or to mix it with shirts and silk patterned dresses.
Which object represents Sweden for you?
Without hesitation, the lovely Linnea Lund clogs.
